Buxton Patrick Smith

Buxton was born on Wednesday, February 25th at 8:18pm. He was 9 lbs 9 oz and 22″. I had the pleasure of visiting him yesterday morning. He’s a sweet, handsome and very big boy! I still can’t believe Kristin was carrying such a big baby given she’s a tiny thing! Kristin was doing amazing considering her long labor and Ben was trying to catch up on some sleep!! The family is expected to go home Saturday! Thank God for the miracle of life! YAH, Buxton is finally here after many months of anticipation!! Wynnie hopes to meet her new pal later this week.

A few recents.

Sorry for the slackness in updates!  With the one store now my life is much less stressful, but somehow I feel as though I have less free time?  The first few months of your babies life you photograph almost every second they are awake.  I even had folders in my iPhoto that were labeled.. “Wynnie 0-3 months, Wynnie 3-6 months, etc.”  The thing now is she is just a part of our family and every day life!  There is no way to separate her photos from OUR photos!

The following 2 photos I actually took with my phone.  Not bad for a phone camera.  She is about 7 1/2 months now and so close to crawling she can taste it!  She actually is crawling some what, but in the wrong direction.  We’ve heard this is the step right before they take off.

Wynnie also now has 2 bottom teeth!  She went through a brief stage of fussiness but it didn’t last long.  She is now back to her angel self.  Jenn went to dinner one night last week.  I was in charge of bath / bedtime.  She can’t hardly get enough objects in her mouth right now.  In one hand the washcloth and the other is her new favorite thing.  It’s this contraption that you open up and put fruit in.  The baby can suck on the fruit through a netting.  Can you say, “banana infatuation?”

Her preferred way of sleeping now.. on her stomach or side.

So on Friday we had a big NICHE event.  Jenn’s Aunt Vickie came to babysit for us.  I think she saved every toy from her 2 boys childhood!  It’s great because when we see her she literally brings boxes of toys.  Wynnie is too cool for school.

Last Sunday.  A nice relaxing day filled with many outings to buy food!  We went to Target / Starbucks, Harris Teeter and Pasta Provisions.  You have to have your priorities in order.

6 month photoshoot!

Wynnie just recently had her 6 month photoshoot.  They turned out awesome!  It’s really hard to pick the best ones.  The photographer left Jenn with a CD of 629 images!  I’m not kidding!  Jenn narrowed it down to 170 and you can see/buy them here on my Picassa.

Something special!

Wynnie now gets to wake up each morning to Mimi’s work of art! Mom made this quilt for us, which took her over a year to construct. Love you mom!
